Few practicing doctors can claim to have chart-topping singles, albums, successful Edinburgh Fringe Festival seasons and sell-out tours. Suman Biswas first realised his calling as a musical parodist when he was still a medical student at Imperial College.

Biswas came into prominence in 2005 with his double-act ‘Amateur Transplants’ when his hugely successful single ‘London Underground’ when their hugely successful single ‘London Underground’ went viral as an internet hit and was downloaded several million times.

Regular performances of his darkly humorous, cleverly warped renditions of pop and rock songs lead to popularity amongst medical and nonmedical audiences alike. Four albums and a successful but rigorous performing schedule later, the duo went their separate ways in 2011.
